On the 23 October 2017, five bartenders from Africa and Middle East will compete in Cape Town for the Angostura Global Cocktail Competition Regional.
Each contestant will demonstrate their inventiveness and skill as they present their creations, using world-famous Angostura aromatic bitters, Angostura orange bitters, Angostura Rums and Amaro di Angostura in a cocktail competition like no other.
Each of the five countries participating in the Regional hosted their respective leg of this global cocktail competition over the past three months in their region.
The House of Angostura in Trinidad and Tobago will host the winners from each Regional leg for the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge 2018 Final in February 2018 – where they will enjoy the experience of a lifetime, with visits to T&T’s famous steel bands and the chance to “play ’mas” in full costume in the country’s carnival!
The ultimate winner of the Final that takes places in Trinidad and Tobago walks home with a cash prize of US$10,000, the title of “Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge Champion 2018,” and a two-year contract as Angostura’s Global Brand Ambassador, representing Angostura aromatic bitters, Angostura orange bitters, Angostura Rums and Amaro di Angostura.
